Project 1: Onsite Observation Journal and Video
For this short semester, in a group of 19, we made a trip to Kedah State Museum for 5D4N to measure and document the traditional Malay houses that are originally belonged to Encik Saman Bin Saad. The two houses were then donated to the state museum and open for study purpose only.
In our first project as warm up, we are to produce 10 onsite manual drawing that give a strong idea of the place using any media such as pencil, pen, markers, charcoal or watercolour to express our observations. We have to add caption for each piece, annotating vital information about what is captured in the sketches. Besides, each group has to come up with a video introducing respective buildings and upload it on YouTube.

Project 2: Report and Photobook
Then, we are required to produce a 5000 words report and a photobook consisting 50 photos. The report is an additional document that accompanies the set of drawings for the building that is measured during the semester. Basically, the report will elaborate on the significance of the building measured from various aspects such as architectural, historical and cultural. In this report, we are required to relate the architecture of the building to its significance, highlighting how the two support the inhabitation of the building. We are required to submit photobook as part of the report.

Project 3: Measured Drawings
This project aims to produce a set of measure drawings of the building. A report containing important and historical information of the building will complement the drawings. It is an on-site exercise where we are required to execute fieldwork and hands-on measuring exercise.
